SSIFF is simply about praising the form factor of short films.
The art of telling a story, that within minutes can impress, amaze, outrage, excite, scare or even move one to tears is unique to this genre.
We would like to pay tribute to all the talented filmmakers out there around the world and be a platform for exposure and dissemination of short films.
SSIFF is a seasonal festival, with 4 editions per year in winter, spring, summer and autumn. The festival is organized by award winning short filmmakers and true film lovers. We know how much time and hard work you put into these films and we made this festival to celebrate that, and to inspire viewers for creativity.
SSIFF wants to connect and promote filmmakers regardless of gender, color, sexuality, nationality or religion.
The jury consists of experienced industry professionals- both artistic and technical - who'll carefully consider every submission.
Every three months, all officially selected works, receives our laurels and mentions on our website, Instagram and Facebook.
The winners will receive our special winner laurels, a certificate, a film page on our website, and a promotional program on our social media channels. Winners will also be able to order our special SSIFF trophy.

As this is the first edition of the festival, no winners has been announced yet.

1. Anybody can submit one or multiple times for one project. There is no limit for submissions.
2. Films once selected and submitted for the final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances, until the Festival is over.
3. Participants must have all rights to audio and video used in your film.
4. All films with spoken language other than Danish or English, must have English subtitles.
5. No fee waiver. All entry fees are non-refundable.
6. Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted. A separate submission and a separate entry fee must accompany each entry.
7. The decision of the festival selection committee will be final.
8. The festival authorities will have the right to screen posters and trailers for Education, promotion, and commercial purposes.
9. Films submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third Parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required copyright permissions regarding music, sound & images. Etc presented in their film.
10. SMPLY SHRTS organizers reserve the right to change, cancel or re-schedule the dates, venue, awards & categories without consent or information to contestants.
11. The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the prizes.
12. Film Submitter is paying fees on their own and accepts that SMPLY SHRTS is not forcing them to pay.
